Whitney Hooper, Chief Strategy Officer of Emboldened Entrepreneur in New Braunfels, TX | Strategic Advising and Facilitation | Before Valuation Planning and Advising | Strategic Alignment in Small Businesses through Transition

Whitney Hooper

Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Whitney founded the Emboldened Entrepreneur at the end of 2024 after two years of serving businesses in a different capacity through WM Consulting, LLC. She brings 15 years of experience identifying constraints, overhauling business operations, and exceeding expectations. Her greatest strength is seeing through chaos to pinpoint root issues, strategizing innovative solutions, and bringing order through practical solutions.

She brings a combination of corporate and non-profit experience, which enables her to understand the unique complexities of each organization.

Whitney streamlined a C-suite franchise recruitment process, increasing results by 20% in just six months. She helped plant a university campus and later ran the entire operation. She has also launched multiple successful organizations and groups.

After working in various industries and realizing that the common issues plaguing companies and leaders are the same, she set out to help facilitate strategic conversations that create healthier, people-focused organizations.

Whitney is passionate about helping companies identify ways to operate more purposefully. Your time and impact are limited. How are you using them?

How Did We Get Here?

In 2022, Whitney launched the company's first iteration. It was started as white-labeling under a former boss’s newly established company. As she handled the process side and delivery with a nicely buttoned-up timeline, opportunities began to open. Eventually, she took the leap and left her full-time job leading a university campus in the spring of 2023. Mentors told her she’d regret it since she was at the “pinnacle” of her career. She knew that never trying was a greater risk.

Life has a funny way of hitting really hard when you decide to take bold leaps, and in 2023, she’d tell you that her life “imploded.” Both of her parents were diagnosed with cancer within six months of each other (they’re now both in remission, praise God!). Several family members and dear friends passed away in that same time frame and starting a company and sinking all of her financial stability into it felt impossible.

She returned to full-time employment for a short stint. But as entrepreneurs know, that fire can’t be quelled. It reared back up, and she knew it was time to try again.

This time with an adapted angle. She rebranded the company to Emboldened Entrepreneur after months of seeking the Lord for what she was supposed to do and continually seeing the world “emboldened” illuminated throughout her journals over the prior two years. She didn’t quite know what Emboldened Entrepreneur would hold, but she knew the root words of the two ignited an undeniable purpose within her.

She started coaching — alongside helping a couple of companies with their process implementations — and then started adding facilitated team strategy sessions into the mix.

Before long, she began to realize there was a much greater impact that could be made if she could partner with teams to combine those skills and passions, positioning leaders for greater impact in their organizations and in their next chapter of life.

After further research in the San Antonio area, she discovered a significantly underserved market for business transitions. So, she began reaching out to business brokers, financial planners, and attorneys to explore this market opportunity. The overwhelming feedback was that our business owners need this kind of support.

That’s when she learned that roughly 80% of businesses don’t sell. As an entrepreneur who has sunk her own blood, sweat, tears, and some financial investments into launching a company that she felt compelled to see through, she couldn’t imagine the burden that owners must feel when they’re ready to retire and sell their business as a retirement plan.

And that is where this path was forged. She saw an opportunity to make a greater impact with owners and teams through fractional COO support, and to partner with brokers and other entities to ensure maximum value and opportunities by getting ahead of the curve and planning for their exit more intentionally.

She reached out to Tony for advice on his extensive M&A experience, and the two combined efforts to better serve leaders during their business transitions. Tony primarily serves in an advisory capacity to bring his wealth of knowledge to the table for leaders and to prepare for exiting.
