Simplify, Systemize, Scale: A Better Way to Grow Your Business
Brad and Shaun weren’t always growth marketing experts.
Like many entrepreneurs, they started Pixel Local because they saw a broken system—one where small business owners were drowning in to-do lists, burning out from hustle culture, and desperately throwing money at marketing tactics that didn’t move the needle.
They didn’t want to build just another digital agency. They wanted to help people build businesses that worked—and more importantly, businesses that gave them their lives back.
1. Start with Systems
“We work with so many clients who don’t have a lead problem—they have a leak problem,” Shaun shared on the podcast.
It’s not that business owners don’t have opportunities. It’s that they don’t have the systems to follow through.
If your backend is broken, no front-end strategy will save you.
2. Build Systems Intentionally
Brad and Shaun call it the “Frankenstein tech stack” problem. Many entrepreneurs switch between tools, never fully implementing any one of them.
“You don’t need the fanciest CRM,” Brad said. “You need the one you’ll actually use.”
That means choosing a system that fits your business and your bandwidth. One offer. One process. One clear outcome. Start there.
3. Simplify and Streamline
One of the most practical takeaways from this conversation was the reminder to streamline your message.
So many entrepreneurs overcomplicate what they do in an attempt to sound credible, but it ends up confusing people. And confused people don’t convert.
Brad explained: “You are not the hero. Your customer is. Your job is to clearly show them how you help them win.”
4. Systems Create Space for Sabbath
As faith-driven founders, Brad and Shaun are building more than businesses. They’re building in margin, rest, and obedience to what God’s called them to steward.
When you build systems—automated responses, streamlined onboarding, clear CRM flows—you’re not just saving time. You’re protecting your peace. You’re creating space for presence. For dinner with your family. For sleep. For rest.
Shaun told us about a quote he heard that is: Would you rather have the strength of 10 men or the wisdom to manage 10 men?
When it comes to systems, it’s an opportunity to prioritize rest, peace, and efficiency.
When you build with clarity, margin, and boundaries, you’re not just scaling your business. You’re honoring your calling.
